About the Psychology and Social Work Clinic
The Ohio University Psychology and Social Work Clinic is an outpatient behavioral health service clinic supported by the Psychology Department as a clinical training site for graduate student clinicians.
The clinic has been helping individuals, couples, and families at Ohio University and throughout the community since 1996. The clinic is an inclusive space that values diversity in all forms and warmly welcomes clients of all identities. Aside from a commitment to serving the behavioral health needs of Southeastern Ohio, the clinic is committed to its mission in the training of graduate students through opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research and providing effective psychological treatments to clients.
The clinic offers a range of psychological services to the surrounding community at competitive prices, for which community members and students are eligible. While the clinic strives to provide timely and high quality services, there may be occasions when service requests may be declined or waiting lists utilized as a result of high demand. If the clinic is unable to meet the needs of a client, all efforts will be made to help the client find another appropriate service provider in the community.

The fee is due prior to your first assessment appointment. If we do not receive payment prior to the first assessment appointment, your appointment may be rescheduled, and you may be placed back on the assessment wait list as we have many individuals awaiting assessment appointment. We are happy to provide you with documentation that you can submit for reimbursement from your insurance company. However, we are no longer billing insurance carriers directly for psychological evaluation.
