Curriculum Committees
The College of Health Sciences and Professions has two curriculum committees (Undergraduate - UCP and Graduate - GCP) that regularly review new courses, course changes, new programs, and program changes after having been approved at the school/department level. Once approved by the appropriate college curriculum committee, the items go to either the Individual Course Committee or the Programs Committee, both can be viewed on the UCC website . In addition, the committee members provide feedback and ideas for future academic planning.
Experiential Learning
Ohio University has defined experiential learning as an approach to education that emphasizes engaged student learning through direct experience and reflection to increase knowledge, develop skills, and elucidate values. Experiential learning activities are intentionally designed to develop students’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes through experience related to a field.
