Master's of Educational Leadership with Principal Licensure

Program Code: ME6229 (Athens Campus)
Program Code: ME5027 (Regional Campus)

Overview

Through a balanced online and in-class instructional approach, the Master’s in Educational Leadership with Principal Licensure is a 36-credit program completed over three semesters. The courses align with National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) standards, embed key Ohio educational initiatives, and include an internship that prepares candidates for the required Ohio licensure exam and school leadership. The program format is a cohort model that meets on Saturdays to accommodate working professionals. New cohorts begin each summer (applications due by April 15)  at the Athens and various regional campuses.

The M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with Principal Licensure program does not permit full-time enrollment in residence at Ohio University and an I-20 cannot be issued. International students seeking an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership must apply to the non-licensure program (ME5028).
