Early Arrival Request Application
The Early Arrival Request Application will open as of July 1 and is available for students who need to arrive early to campus due to requirements of their academic program, working for the University to assist in fall semester move in, or working for the Bobcat Move-In Crew.
To complete the application, students can visit their Housing Self-Service page, click on the ‘Contracts & Applications’ tab, and select Early Arrival Request Application.
If students wish to volunteer for Bobcat Move-In Crew , only the Bobcat Move In Crew application will need to be completed. The Bobcat Move In Crew application will be honored as the request for early arrival.
Approved early arrival students will be able to move into their fall assigned space. For information regarding the traditional fall move in visit the fall arrival guide .
2025 Early Arrival Meal Plan Information
Students can complete an Early Arrival Meal Plan Application on their Housing Self-Service to select from two early arrival meal plan options.
There are two plans available, a Block 4 meal plan for $42 or a Block 8 meal plan for $84.
The meal plan is active from lunch on Sunday, August 17 through breakfast on Thursday, August 21

Living off campus or commuting to campus? You can still have access to the fresh, convenient, variety offered by Ohio University Culinary Services with an Off-Campus & Commuter Meal Plan.

Faculty & Staff Meal Plans
Faculty/Staff Meal Plans help to increase interaction between Ohio students and staff outside of the classroom, further strengthening Ohio University as the best student-centered learning experience in America. They are available to all benefits-eligible employees and to graduate students who hold full GA, RA, TA, or RD appointments of 15-20 hours per week during the semester in which they are purchased.
Need to change your Meal Plan?
Students starting in fall semester may decrease their meal plan up to the second Friday of the fall semester. After this date, students may only increase their meal plan for fall semester. Students starting in spring semester may decrease their meal plan up to the first Friday of the spring semester. After this date, students may only increase their meal plan for spring semester.
Have guests to feed?
Groups and guests are always welcome to any meal in any of Culinary Services' Residential Dining venues. We ask that groups of 10 or more, please call 740.593.4035 to make reservations and purchase meal tickets.
