The Ohio University Music Industry Summit is open to all OHIO students, faculty and staff, prospective high school students and educators, musicians, music entrepreneurs and industry professionals, or anyone who is actively involved in or wants to know more about the business of music.

If you are traveling to Athens for the Summit, here you'll find helpful information to plan your trip. Our campus and uptown Athens are very walkable so you can plan for a 5-15 minute walk between locations. 

Some evening events may be off campus and will require attendees to drive to rideshare. 

  • Ohio University Inn


    The Ohio University Inn & Conference Center is our host hotel and is situated directly on campus within minutes of Baker University Center.  The Ohio University Inn & Conference Center is offering a preferred rate of $124.00 per room, per night (plus applicable taxes)to those visiting Athens, Ohio with the “Music Industry Summit” Group. For reservations, please enter through the link below or you may call the hotel directly at 740-593-6661 (toll-free 866-593-6661) and ask for the “Music Industry Summit Block”. 

    The block date begins Tuesday, March 25, 2025, for up to three nights. Reservations must be
made prior to Tuesday, February 25, 2025, to receive the discounted rate. Rooms reserved after the release date, or once the block is full, will be accepted based upon availability and at the regular published rate. More info on the Inn can be found at ouinn.com .

  • Fairfield Inn & Suites


    Just a few minutes away from campus is the Fairfield Inn & Suites Athens. 

    Music Industry Summit attendees can take advantage of the preferred rate of $119 per room, per night (plus applicable taxes).To reserve a room at this rate, follow the special booking link below or you may call 740-589-5839 and ask for the "Music Industry Summit". The block dates are Tuesday, March 25, 2025, through Friday, March 28, 2025. 

    Reservations must be made prior to Tuesday, February 25, 2025, to receive the discounted rate.Rooms can be cancelled up until 48 hours before the start of the reservation.

  • Parking


    The designated parking location for the event is Baker University Center Parking Garage. The Baker University Center parking garage is shown on the campus parking map as lot 122. Fees are $1.00 per hour, and guests may pay by using cash, credit card, or via the Park Mobile Application . ADA approved parking spaces are also available in lot 122.

    Athens City Parking Garage is located two blocks from Baker University Center. The Athens City Parking Garage is shown on the campus parking map as building 40. Fees are consistent with Athens City Rates. Please ensure you have adequate quarters to pay associated fees. Please allow approximately 5 minutes to walk from the Athens Parking Garage to Baker University Center.
