Project Hypnos

Project Hypnos is a study investigating the mind-body connection through the impact that bodily awareness has on dynamic balance in people with chronic ankle instability. We are studying the relationship between awareness of the body, the arousal of the nervous system, and balance performance in people with chronic ankle instability.

This study will also determine the effects of an audio guided self-hypnosis practice and an education video on ankle rehabilitation exercises on balance performance. The practice of self-hypnosis has shown evidence of improving physical performance and well-being. All measures are non-invasive.
