This includes accounting needs for general, operational, and foundation funds as well as preparing reports for both internal and external entities. General Accounting and Financial Reporting
The General Accounting and Financial Reporting Office is responsible for addressing general financial accounting needs and coordinating and/or preparing various financial reports for the University.
Grants Accounting
The Grants and Contracts Accounting Office is responsible for handling the post-award accounting activity for the University that is received from external agencies under a grant or contract. The staff completes the financial monitoring, invoicing and reporting for compliance with university, state, federal and other sponsor guidelines to ensure policies are consistently applied. Annual expenditures exceed $98 million in Research, Instruction, Public Service and Student Aid awards from a variety of sponsors: Federal, State, Private, Foreign and Other Government.
Foundation Finance
The Ohio University Foundation is responsible for the safeguarding and stewardship of philanthropic funds received for the benefit of Ohio University.
Office of the Controller
The Office of the Controller is responsible for directing and controlling the financial integrity of Ohio University through development and implementation of University policies and procedures, transactional analysis and review, internal and external reporting and by maintaining compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
