Triples

  • Third bed is a University provided loft. The room size will not accommodate an additional loft.
  • Storage provided for third occupant includes a wardrobe, typically sized 38" l x 24"w x 60.5" h.
  • A chest of drawers typically sized 17" l x 18" w x 44.5" h.
  • Mattresses are 80" l x 36" w, an extra-long twin.
  • The windows have pull shades. Students should bring a tension rod for curtains (if desired).
  • A desk, typically sized 42" l x 24" w x 30" h, and a chair for each resident.
  • A set of Bunk beds, typical outside dimensions are 84.5" l x 38.25" w. Springs are 81" l x 35.5" w. Under bed storage height is 15" h.

Washington Hall 4th Floor Rooms:

In 13 of the 16 dormer rooms located on the fourth floor of Washington Hall, the built-in cabinetry was removed in order to provide residents with greater flexibility in the arrangement of the room furniture. Rooms affected: 402, 404, 405, 406, 417, 418, 419, 420, 422, 432, 433, 434, and 435.

Renovated Halls

Renovated halls include: Biddle, Bush, Johnson, Read, Lincoln, Jefferson, and Shively.

Wooden furniture provided:

  • A desk. The desk is typically sized 48"l x 24"w x 30"h, and a chair for each resident.
  • A captain's style bed, typical outside dimensions are 85.5" l x 37" w. Spring is 81" l x 36" w. Beds are bunkable and can be used in a loft.
  • Mattresses are 80" l x 36" w, an extra-long twin
  • Either built in storage or one two-drawer storage chest, 2' x 2' x 2', that may be placed under the bed or used as an end table/nightstand.
  • Either built in storage or a two-door closet with a hanging bar and 3 storage drawers underneath, typically sized 6'6" h x 2'6" w.
  • The windows have pull shades. Students should bring a tension rod for curtains (if desired).
  • Biddle, Bush, Johnson, Read, Lincoln and Shively provide a sink within the room. Jefferson does not have a sink within the room, sinks can be found in the communal bathroom on the floor.

  • 2 sets of Bunk beds, typical outside dimensions are 84.5" l x 38.25" w. Springs are 81" l x 35.5" w. Beds can be un-bunked or lofted.
  • Closets are 6'6" h x 3' w and bolted to the wall.

Bromley Hall Suites

  • The majority of rooms, the height from floor to ceiling is 8'.
  • A set of bunk beds, typical outside dimensions are 84.5" l x 38.25" w. Springs are 81" l x 35.5" w. Under-bed storage height is 15" h.
  • Mattresses are 80" l x 36" w, an extra-long twin
  • Double rooms share a bath between them. The bathroom can only be locked from the inside for privacy. NOTE: For the safety of our students the installation of additional locks is prohibited. Triples can share a bath with a double or some triples have private baths.
  • Bromley Shower Curtains are 37"
  • Desks are built in on the window wall. There are two sizes, 30" l x 19" w x 45" h and 60" l x 19" w x 45" h with 10 drawers.
  • A chair for each resident.
  • Features wardrobes that are bolted to the wall.
  • Features storage cubes and drawer space in the wardrobe.

Traditional (The Front Four)

  • Cabinetry is built in. It includes 5 drawers and a 2-door closet with overhead storage. The closets are typically 30.5 inches wide, height is 52 inches with a shelf at 38 inches with 14 inches of storage space. The shelf is 15.5 inches wide. The depth of the closet is 20.5 inches.
  • A bed, typical outside dimensions are 84.5" l x 38.25" w. Spring is 81" l x 35.5" w. Beds can be bunked. Beds can be used in a loft (some doubles do not have floor space for a loft).
  • Mattresses are 80" l x 36" w, an extra-long twin.
  • A desk for each resident, typically sized 42" l x 24" w x 30" h, and a chair for each resident.

Standard Rooms - Mod Style Buildings

  • Each student has a two-door closet with hanging bars and overhead shelves.
  • A desk, typically sized 42" l x 24" w x 30" h, and a chair for each resident.
  • Three two-drawer storage chests for each resident, 2'x2'x2' that may be placed under the bed, stacked into a 6 drawer unit, or spread around the room as end tables / night stands.
  • A captain's style bed with metal springs. The beds are not bunkable but can be used in a loft.
  • Bed is typically sized 85.5" l x 37" w .
  • Springs are typically sized 81" l x 36"w. Mattresses are typically 36" w x 80" l, an extra-long twin.

Ten, Thirty & Forty Rooms

South Green Mod buildings have double rooms located just off of the mods with a different arrangement. These rooms are distinguishable by their numbers; they are 10's, 30's, or 40's such as 110, 140, 210 etc.

  • A bed, typical outside dimensions are 84.5" l x 38.25" w. Spring is 81" l x 35.5" w. Beds can be bunked. Beds can be used in a loft. Under bed storage height is 15"h. For picture of bed see traditional .

  • There is no built in cabinetry or closets.
  • A large computer desk with a shelf. Desk is typically sized 48" l x 24" w x 30" h with a 36" h shelf on top, and a chair for each resident.
  • A wardrobe for each resident, typically sized 38" l x 24" w x 60.5" h.
  • A chest of drawers typically sized 17"l x 18"w x 44.5" h.
  • Mattresses are typically 80" l x 36" w, an extra long twin.
