Security Measures
Wristbands

Wristbands will be distributed at residence hall staff office during the following times:
- Thursday, October 24 from 8:30 to 10 p.m. (resident wristbands only)
- Friday, October 25 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
- Saturday, October 26 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Residents of River Park, River's Edge, and River Gate can pick theirs up in the elevator lobby of Building 36 during the following times:
- Friday, October 25 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
- Saturday, October 26 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Exterior Doors and Access
Beginning Friday, October 25 at 5 p.m. all exterior doors to the residences halls, outside the main entrance, will be inaccessible. Swipe access to all exterior doors will be returned on Sunday, October 27 at 12 p.m. (noon).
Hall Staff
There will be increased staffing in the halls throughout the weekend. Staff will be available via hall duty phone starting Friday at 6:30 p.m. until Monday at 8 a.m.
Halloween Guest Policy
Residents may register ONE guest for Halloween weekend (October 25-27) using the Halloween Guest Registration Form . There is a $50 guest fee that will be billed to the student account of any resident who has a guest that checks in for Halloween weekend. Any resident with an unapproved guest will be charged $100 per guest and may be subject to a Community Standards referral.
All guests must be accompanied by their host at all times.
Guest Registration Timeline
Guest registration starts Monday, October 7 at 8 a.m. and ends Wednesday, October 16 at 11:59 p.m.
Your guest must be registered in advance and the guest registration form must be fully completed NO LATER THAN 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16.
Roommate Review
This process is specific to students who share a room. Students in adjoining suite rooms or other apartment bedrooms do not have the option to refuse guest registration.
Once a guest registration is on file, all roommates of that room will have a chance to review. If a roommate decides to deny a guest, they must complete the form linked in the guest registration notification email. This can be done any time between Monday, October 7 when the guest registration form opens until Sunday, October 20 at 11:59 p.m.
Any roommate who chooses to deny a guest registration request must do so by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 20 for it to be honored.
Housing and Residence Life encourages all residents to communicate with each other Halloween guest plans prior to completing the form.
Parking Information
There will be NO guest parking on campus. Some pay to park spaces may be available at the Athens Fair Grounds.
