President Gonzalez shares important Winter Closure Policy change OHIO News 12.13.2023
To recognize and reward the contributions of employees on all campuses and centers, Ohio university closes from December 25 through January 1 each year.
The following days are included in the Winter Break Closure:
- Day 1: December 25, Christmas Day Observed
- Day 2: December 26, Presidents' Day Observed
- Day 3: December 27, WBC
- Day 4: December 30, WBC
- Day 5: December 31, WBC
- Day 6: January 1, New Year's Day Observed
Any work performed during this period of closure must be approved by the appropriate unit head or designee of the president. Employees that are in active pay status on the work day preceding winter break closure will receive pay for the closure days.
Employees who are required to work during the Winter Break Closure should review the time reporting guidelines to ensure they report their time and are compensated appropriately.
