Payment Works: Campus Resources

Paymentwork is Ohio University’s supplier onboarding portal. All University employees that have access to BobcatBUY will automatically be provisioned initiator access to PaymentWorks . Employees will sign in to PaymentWorks through the University’s single sign on. 

What is an Initiator?

Initiator access in PaymentWorks allows the University employee to invite suppliers through the portal and track their registration progress. They will also be able to view all suppliers that have already been registered for PaymentWorks by any University department. 

How do I know if my supplier has already been invited to register through PaymentWorks?

There is a supplier dashboard available in Ohio Bobcat Insights (OBI). Two fields columns within the dashboard will help determine whether your supplier is onboarded through PaymentWorks:

  • Date Invitation Sent - A date in this column means that your supplier has been invited to register through PaymentWorks. A blank in this field means that they have never been invited, and you may proceed with the invitation.
  • Last PW Update Date - A date in this column means that the supplier has completed onboarding through PaymentWorks, and has been approved as a University supplier. This date with update each time the supplier updates their information in PaymentWorks.

PaymentWorks will send automatic reminders to suppliers that have not acted on their invitation on days 3, 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35. After 35 days the invitation will be cancelled. The initiator of the invitation will need to track the onboarding process and follow up with their supplier if action is not taken. An invitation may be resent after 35 days, if needed.

NOTE: OBI dashboards update nightly, there is a one day delay on these fields.
